The history of Bio Orto has been rooted in the land of Tavoliere delle Puglie since 1950. For years, we have tended our organic olive groves, until, in 2016 , we realized a dream: to inaugurate our own oil mill .
This strategic investment has allowed us to control every stage, ensuring that the olives, harvested at the perfect ripeness, are processed immediately. We chose a technologically advanced continuous-cycle plant , constructed entirely of stainless steel for maximum hygiene and zero contamination, affirming our approach that combines industrial craftsmanship with a global vision .
Why organic garden oil is so unique

The importance of storage
After extraction, the oil is not immediately filtered, but stored in stainless steel silos in temperature-controlled rooms for natural decantation . This slow, natural process allows for the best preservation of the flavor, aroma, and structure before bottling.

Quick Milling
The secret to the quality of our oil lies in its speed. From harvest in the field to pressing in the mill, only a few hours pass. This short time is crucial: it allows us to preserve all the organoleptic and nutritional properties of the olives intact, guaranteeing an extremely low acidity level.

Our plant uses the Cold Extraction method.
During the malaxation process, the temperature is rigorously monitored to never exceed 27°C . Respecting this legal threshold is our guarantee of excellence. Working "cold" means obtaining a smaller quantity of oil (a lower yield), but of incomparably superior quality, rich in polyphenols and antioxidants.
